Spring Cleaning Season is Officially Open

We are going to be taking the next few months to downsize.
We have half a garage with extra bikes, tables, appliances,
storage in the basement, kids toys, memorabilia,
books, books, books  etc.
I am going to take an unsentimental look at and sell or donate the lot of it!
I am overwhelmed with a good dose of determination!

I declare  Spring Cleaning Season officially open!

Climb a Mountain by: Blue Sky Clouds

I am putting my shop on vacation mode from February 22-26th! I think I may go through withdrawal but I am looking to warmer weather, palm trees, lower altitude and a fun visit!
Have a good week!

Getting Organized

I was looking through the past February issues of a favorite and now defunct magazine, Domino, and noticed that the 2 issues I have both focused on "the organized home!" And the image of my kitchen junk drawer and "private" dresser drawer came wafting through my mind. These REALLY need organized! So, here are some of my organization ideas for re purposing vintage finds!

Four Vintage Aqua Blue Ball Jars by:Cheeky Vintage Closet

These jars are the most lovely blue! They could be an inspiration point for decorating a bathroom and would look fabulous on a shelf filled with cotton balls, Q-Tips, bath salts etc. The top could be left open to hold something tall like a comb or brush.

Vintage Wire Magazine Rack by:Richard and Ruthie

Staying in the bathroom, this wire rack would be look great with guest towels rolled and placed inside! Of course it is also perfect as a magazine rack!

Vintage Industrial Index Card Catalog File Cabinet  by:Austin Modern

This piece would be amazing in any room! Oh, the possibilities! In a large bathroom it could store everything from makeup to cleaning supplies! In a bedroom storage for jewelry, or children's toys. And it is perfect for a study or art room for storing various art supplies! This piece rocks in green!

Store your mail and bills in this vintage silver toast rack! There is a great dish in the center where stamps or paper clips could go!

So many possibilities for using vintage items in a unique way. As for my favorite Domino magazines, I am not the only person who still loves them! As I did a search for images of it I found back issues for sale on Amazon $10 for used ones $35 for unopened ones! I am not the only person who still appreciates them!

Now, I am off to pull out the junk drawer! Hope you got a bit inspired to organize as well!

Born With a Broken Heart

The David Wax Museum is a great way to ring in the weekend. Try to stay still and not bounce, dance and feel happier, I dare you! I have to give credit to Russ for posting this to his FB which compelled me to post this here!

Here are some Etsy picks inspired by the video!
